A Weekend To Remember part. 1

This lovely weekend happened a few weeks back, in the middle of July. It was a longer weekend for me, as I took Friday and Monday holiday from work. It started by me driving a car to Helsinki way to early in the morning, as my mom had to be at work by 8 am. Nice nice, tho one good thing about driving a car at that time is less cars on the roads. I'm not a big fan of driving at such a big city as Helsinki, but everything turned out much better than I thought.

Teresa and me!!

During the day I got to meet my pen pal from New Zealand for the second time. It's always nice to speak English, tho it takes much more energy than speaking only Finnish. We started the day by going to 'Suomenlinna Sea Fortress' that is on the list of Unesco World Heritage sites. The only way to get there is by a boat, so that's what we did. There were some scary sea eagles on the way, tho..

When we arrived to the destination we just walked around and stopped at a cafe for some snacks. I gotta say Suomenlinna is a very beautiful place during the summer, and I'm so glad I finally got to visit there. I had been wanting to go there for so long!

Some of the views don't even look like something that you could see in Finland, like the following pic.

I can warmly recommend Suomenlinna for everyone, who comes to Helsinki!
Thank you so much for spending the day with me, my lovely friend! :)

This weekend continues in Hamina, which will make a whole new post.

    1. (: most of the time I use my Canon EOS 450D, but I don't use all the fancy functions of it.. I like this camera for basic pics, but what's negative about it, is that it lacks a video function.. :D Good luck for your search!

    2. ahh I see..okay! thanks for the info :) I'm thinking 600D....I used to own a Sony digital camera and love the colour. I've used my sister's Canon digital camera and recently, her Canon PowerShot G12 and found the colours aren't sharp nor are the photos as clear as I expected. But seeing bloggers and YouTubers using the 600D and now yours too, I might get one!

  2. Ihania valokuvia :)

      Terveiset myös Suomesta Ranskaan!!
